My name is Smith Levi and I started RatKing Frames in 2013.

I make fully custom bicycles and work with you to deliver a frame that fits your body, riding style, and aesthetic. RatKing Frames are purpose driven, placing utility before all else. Whether you are looking for a race bike or a dirt touring frame to go the distance, we will hand select the finest American Made components, build around your measurements, and take all of your aesthetic and personal ride characteristics into consideration as we build your bike.

Racks are all wrapped, but I’m waiting on one more shipment before we open up orders. Thank you for your patience, I’m eager to get them out, too!

His eye for compatibility is impeccable and his flourishes make the builds shine. It was a beautiful roundup of some of the finest builders and makers I know. An impromptu shop tour of @austere_manufacturing was the cherry on top! A couple weeks ago I scored this sick set of Oyster Bars from @foragercycles and they clunked around until this week when @backalleybikerepair came to the rescue with the last little bits to complete the cockpit swap. The next day, I got to rip around some local trails with buddies @reglihttam and @24hrmart and join in the inaugural ride for Matt’s new RatKing hardtail29er. I’ve never been particularly jumpy, and leaving the ground has always been spooky for me, but howwwwdy these Forager Oyster bars are wide, secure, and with the perfect sweep that I couldn’t help but feel like I could do anything. Including like 5 whole inches of air!!! I can’t say enough good things about these bars and I’m so truly stoked to have a pair of my own. They don’t just look wicked, they ride great and inspire confidence. My only complaint is that, uncut, they’re a struggle getting through doorways and I think that’s a pretty good problem to have. They wanted something that would match their red anodize components on their daily rider and they gave us (mostly @stuntdoublescolor ) some creative liberty for the rest. Pretty pumped with how it turned out! Racks are chugging along nicely in the shop and I’m hoping to just barely squeeze in the shipping deadline for preorders. Plenty more racks will be available in August then we’re planning another end of summer run if all goes well!
